Crews rescue person at Gaviota State Beach after medical emergency

GAVIOTA, Calif. (KEYT) – Santa Barbara County Fire crews rescued a person via helicopter after a medical emergency at Gaviota State Beach just after 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
The person had a medical condition leading to moderate injuries and an airlift to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, according to the SBCFD.
The railroad tracks near the area are currently closed and those seeking more information should contact Union Pacific, according to the SBCFD.
