Brush fire burns three acres in Thermal

COACHELLA, Calif. (KESQ) – Firefighters are working to contain a brush fire that burned three acres in Thermal Thursday night.
The fire was reported just before 10:15 p.m. on the 86100 Block of Airport Boulevard, near the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport.
According to Watch Duty, Airport Blvd has been closed at Tyler St. to the Thermal Sheriff’s Station near Polk Street. Additionally, officials have requested the closure of the Thermal airport.
