EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — After iFLY El Paso announced its closure on social media, the community questioned what’s next for the building.

According to the El Paso Central Appraisal District, the property that iFLY El Paso occupies is owned by EPT Land Communities, which also owns The Elmont Event Center in the same area.

EPCAD’s data said the property value of the nearly 6,400 square foot complex is just above $1.1 million.

When ABC-7 requested an interview with EPT Land Communities, it said they had no comment at this time, as they are “still processing the new information received.”

iFLY’s business neighbors were saddened by the closure, but said it opened more opportunity.

“iFLY is gone, but we’re still here,” said Jacky Briones, an employee of Escapology, an escape room near iFLY. “Definitely a lot of activities to do in this little divot of El Paso, for sure.”
