Gov. Abbott to discuss school district improvement efforts in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott will return to the Borderland Wednesday to discuss efforts to make school districts more efficient.
In a press release, Gov. Abbott said he will speak with families and taxpayers about school districts to “ensure responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.”
He said he will announce a new initiative to improve districts’ efficiency.
Gov. Abbott is running for re-election in the upcoming November election. He faces the Democratic nominee, Gina Hinojosa.
Aug. 5, the governor visited El Paso County and announced two new policy proposals about housing affordability for Texas residents.
