‘Wolverine’ spotted in the Idaho wild as Hugh Jackman visits Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY, Idaho (KIFI) — A Wolverine has been spotted in the Idaho wilderness, but probably not the one wildlife officials are usually looking for.

Actor Hugh Jackman, best known for playing Wolverine in Marvel’s “X-Men” film franchise, appears to be spending some time in Sun Valley.

Jackman recently shared a photo on social media showing himself on a trail with a simple caption: “Sun Valley, Idaho.”

The actor did not provide many other details about his visit or what brought him to the area, but that hasn’t stopped the excitement surrounding his post.

Jackman has played Wolverine for more than two decades, first taking on the role in 2000’s “X-Men” and most recently returning as the character alongside Ryan Reynolds in 2024’s “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

And while seeing Jackman wandering an Idaho trail may be unusual, spotting the animal itself isn’t completely out of the question.

Small populations of Wolverine’s can be found in the Rocky Mountains, and the animals have been spotted in the Greater Yellowstone region.
