A Columbia man was airlifted with serious injuries Friday night after he was electrocuted at the Lake of the Ozarks.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the 22-year-old was welding on a dock around 7:45 p.m. in the 29800 block of Oak Knoll Road in the Gravois Mills area.
He received an electrical shock and fell into the water, the report says. He nearly drowned before being pulled from the water after “a few seconds.”
The man was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital and then airlifted to University Hospital.
