Fulton murder suspect has trial scheduled for February 2027
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A man charged with murder in a Fulton teenager’s shooting death in 2024 is set to go to trial next year.
Mitchell Henderson Jr., 46, of Columbia, is charged in Callaway County with first-degree murder, illegal gun possession and armed criminal action. He is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond.
He is accused in the shooting death of Jakiem Braggs, 19, on July 16, 2024. Police responded to a shots-fired call that day in the 1200 block of Kathy Street and found Braggs dead in the street with gunshot wounds.
Two other adults charged in the killing had their charges dropped, while a juvenile was also accused in the case.
A jury trial was scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2027, while a pretrial conference was set for 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2027.
