Pre-trial hearing in murder case of Yuma man continued to October

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA) – The pre-trial hearing the murder case of 23-year-old Jacob Sims was continued to October.
42-year-old Gabriel Mills Sr., 21-year-old Gabriel Mills Jr. and 21-year-old Sadie Hiatt were in court for the hearing Tuesday.
35-year-old Daniel Martinez joined over video after being extradited to Orange County for a different court case.
They’re all charged for several felonies, including murder and torture in Sims’ murder, whose remains were found in Winterhaven in November of 2024.
The four defendants have pleaded not guilty.
