Luciano Frattolin, accused of killing daughter and hiding her body, to face trial in Ticonderoga

TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (WPTZ) — Luciano Frattolin, a Canadian man accused of killing his 9-year-old daughter and hiding her body in Ticonderoga, New York, is set to go to trial next week, with jury selection beginning Monday.
New court documents obtained by NBC5 reveal that a 911 call initiated Frattolin’s false kidnapping report before his daughter, Melina, was found dead, according to prosecutors.
According to the documents, Frattolin called 911 on July 19 of last year, claiming his daughter had been kidnapped at a rest stop in Lake George by someone in a white van.
An Amber Alert triggered a large search before New York State Police found Melina’s body near Eagle Lake in Ticonderoga.
Frattolin has pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and concealment of a human corpse.
