El Paso International Airport power restored

UPDATE (8:47 p.m.) — El Paso Electric says strong winds may have caused damage to electrical lines in the area near the airport.

“El Paso Electric crews responded and completed repairs,” a spokesperson told ABC-7. “Power to the airport was restored by rerouting service, minimizing the duration of the interruption for customers.”

UPDATE (6:19 p.m.) — According to the El Paso Electric power outage map, the power outage impacting the area near the airport has been resolved.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — The El Paso International Airport said it lost power in parts of its terminal, according to a Facebook post Tuesday.

The airport said travelers should check their airline for the latest flight information before heading to the airport.
