Oklahoma County (KOCO) — An inmate at the Oklahoma County Detention Center died Tuesday after officials say she was found unconscious.

Shortly after 6:50 p.m., detention officers and medical staff responded after 33-year-old Dancing Feathers Whitecrow was found unresponsive. Staff attempted life-saving measures, and she was taken to an area where she later died.

Whitecrow was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on April 25, and she was being held on a $65,000 bond. Online records show she faced several larceny and burglary charges as well as a count related to trafficking fentanyl.

An investigation into the cause and manner of death is underway.
