Burglar entered Florida gas station through hole in roof before being caught, employee says

LEE COUNTY, Florida (WBBH) — Deputies have confirmed that one person is in custody following a burglary at the Super America gas station on Alico Road in Lee County on Wednesday morning.
According to a clerk at the gas station who spoke to Gulf Coast News, the burglar entered the station at around 3 a.m. through a hole in the roof. Video from the business shows a hole in the roof that the burglar appears to have entered through.
The clerk told Gulf Coast News that the suspect then stole cash from the register, took all the lottery tickets, and tried to escape.
Deputies caught the suspect as they were trying to escape, the clerk said.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Gulf Coast News that it has one person in custody and that deputies are actively working the case, still gathering information.
