REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity brought more than 100 volunteers to Redmond for its annual Women Build Week, helping complete the final homes at the Timber Cottages development.
Of the 13 homes, 11 will be owned by women-led households, including eight single mothers, with buyers ranging from a school custodian to a healthcare worker and TSA officer.
Volunteers worked alongside staff and future homeowners on finishing touches like siding and interior work, with training provided each day. KTVZ’s Claire Elmer attended one day of the week-long event and will bring you the full report coming up only on KTVZ News.
