Bend-La Pine Schools hosting “Drive & Apply” events to recruit bus drivers

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Bend-La Pine Schools is looking to hire about 10 bus drivers for the upcoming school year and is inviting the community to get behind the wheel.
Next week, the district’s Transportation Department will host “Drive & Apply” events, giving interested applicants a chance to test drive a school bus and apply for a driving position on the spot.
KTVZ’s Tracee Tuesday got an early look at what it takes to do the job, stepping into the driver’s seat at the district’s bus depot.
