MADRAS, Ore. (KTVZ) — A classic 1960s pop rock group is taking the stage in Madras — all in an effort to help make a major community project a reality.

The Cowsills will perform a benefit concert on April 11th, with proceeds going toward the Jefferson County Historical Society’s effort to turn a landmark 1908 church into a county museum. Currently, Jefferson County is the only county in Oregon without one.

KTVZ’s Claire Elmer spoke with Paul Cowsill and board members of the Jefferson County Historical Society to learn how this concert is about more than music. Tune in Wednesday to KTVZ News at 4:00 p.m. to learn more.
