FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (WPBF) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with Florida’s Attorney General Office announced that a man linked to a string of thefts of trading cards at retail stores across the state was arrested.

Keith R. Wallis, 39, of Pompano Beach, was arrested in Broward County on Monday and is facing two counts of felony organized retail theft, three counts of felony dealing in stolen property and one count of felony money laundering.

The Attorney General’s Office said on Thursday that the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Office of Statewide Prosecution led the investigation into Wallis with the help of sheriff’s offices in Broward and Martin counties.

The Attorney General’s Office said between July 2025 and February 2026, Wallis committed 75 thefts at multiple retail store locations.

The thefts spanned from Orlando to Homestead.

Wallis is alleged to have selected multiple large boxes of trading cards, as well as an equal number of 99-cent taco seasoning packets.

Wallis allegedly went to the self-checkout line at the stores and only paid for the taco seasoning packets and left the stores with the trading cards.
