Driver slams into storefront of 7-Eleven in Redmond, charged with DUII

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — A shocking image shared with KTVZ News shows a red car after a driver fully crashed it into the storefront of 7-Eleven on SW Highland Avenue in Redmond, just before midnight on Sunday. The store is currently closed as crews work to build a temporary entrance for customers.
The 42-year-old driver, a Bend man, was cited and released on a charge of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Redmond Police Lt. April Huey tells us.
No injuries were reported; however, the store was closed when KTVZ News visited the scene on Monday afternoon. Construction workers said they are working to build a temporary entrance for customers, but currently, there is no estimated time of completion. The store and the entire parking lot are closed to the public.
The 7-Eleven is the only one in Redmond and is heavily frequented by residents.
